On August 30, 2025, within the framework of the Da Nang Finance and Technology Week 2025, the Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2025 was successfully held, attracting more than 500 participants, including leaders of central agencies, diplomatic representatives, international experts, semiconductor enterprises, technology corporations, startups, investors, lecturers, and students. The program featured 12 insightful presentations delivered by both domestic and international experts. The technology exhibition area, with the participation of 25 enterprises and 7 universities, showcased the latest innovations and products in the fields of semiconductors and high technology.

Concluding the summary of results, Mr. Ho Quang Buu – Member of the Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee – affirmed: “Da Nang possesses all the advantages in infrastructure, investment environment, quality of life, and human resources to rise and become a new growth pole and the national center for semiconductor technology.” At the same time, he emphasized the strong determination of the entire political system to seize trends, approach the value chain, promote human resource training, and complete the semiconductor ecosystem. In conclusion, he expressed his sincere thanks for the participation and contributions of experts, managers, enterprises, lecturers, and students, and called on the technology community to continue joining hands and offering ideas for the development of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors in Da Nang.

The morning seminar left a strong impression with the introduction of the latest advancements in two core technologies: electronics and photonics.

During the panel discussion “Connecting R&D – Pilot Production – Commercialization: Opportunities for Photonic Chip & Advanced Packaging Development in Da Nang”, moderated by Mr. Le Hoang Phuc – Director of DSAC, experts from AIST (Japan), IEEE (USA), Marvell, and the Global Semiconductor Business Association focused on the opportunities for developing photonic chip and advanced packaging technologies in Da Nang. The discussion emphasized the importance of international cooperation, cleanroom infrastructure investment, and the Lab-to-Fab model to accelerate the transition from research to practical application. In particular, experts highlighted the crucial role of government guidance and support in creating a favorable environment for enterprises and fostering the growth of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem.
🔹 Afternoon Session – Supply Chain Connection and Cleanroom Infrastructure Solutions for Semiconductor Chip Production and Packaging in Vietnam:
The session opened with speeches by Dr. Vo Xuan Hoai – Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC) and Dr. Bruno Wu – Chairman of Sun Seven Stars Investment Group. The key presentations included:

Prof. Dr. Mai Anh Tuan (Senior Lecturer, University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Industrial Consultant, Department of Industry – Ministry of Industry and Trade): Presented an optimal cleanroom design model for Vietnam. The open discussion deeply explored key issues such as machinery reuse, design licensing, server infrastructure, and experiences in mobilizing equipment sponsorship through enterprise cooperation.
🤝 Signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
Within the framework of the event, seven MoUs were signed, focusing on training and developing human resources in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors. The agreements involved key partners such as Plasma-Therm, FPT, DSAC, akaVers, YS Talent, VNUK, and SEVINA, establishing a solid foundation to promote the semiconductor ecosystem in Da Nang.
